VERIFICATION

A matching reference is one check, not the whole assessment.

Before using a report, understand why it was prepared and what it says about its own limitations. The website record can help identify an issue, but it cannot answer every question about the underlying accounts or the recipient's requirements.

Read the cover and the accompanying wording

Check the reporting period, document type and intended purpose. A management summary, prepared statement and separate assurance report are not the same thing. A professional-looking layout or a code printed on the cover does not change the work that was actually performed.

Compare the current issue

Use the official brand page and compare the permitted details with your copy. A newer version or withdrawn status means further enquiry is needed before treating the document as current. Where a file comparison is available, a match concerns the file bytes, not the truth of every underlying transaction.

Keep private records private

If something is unclear, email a description and the reference first. We can agree a protected way to receive more evidence where necessary. Public verification is not permission to disclose the client's figures or to obtain the confidential document. A separate recipient decides whether the report meets its own needs.

Common questions

Does the website code replace any professional identifier that may be required?

No. Such identifiers and their verification processes remain separate from Farwa's own issue reference.
