YOUR BOOKS
Find out why the bank and your books disagree.
Bank matching helps connect actual movements to the entries in your records. We look at the agreed accounts, statements and payment platforms, then work through differences that need explanation. The aim is a useful reconciliation, not a forced match.
Get the full picture
We confirm the date range, accounts, currencies and opening position. A transfer may involve two accounts; a card settlement may include fees or refunds. Knowing those relationships prevents a single bank line from being mistaken for the whole transaction.
Give each difference a reason
Unidentified receipts, duplicated payments and timing differences are treated separately. We record questions and obtain approval for corrections. An amount is not written off merely because it is inconvenient, and a bank-feed import is not accepted as proof that every transaction has been classified correctly.
Keep the next review straightforward
The reconciliation schedule shows the balance, outstanding items and next actions. Where relevant, we explain which differences should clear in the following period and which require further investigation. Access is limited to the information needed; online-banking passwords should not be shared with an enquiry.
Common questions
Can you include payment platforms as well as a bank?
Yes, where the accounts and available reports are included in the agreed scope.
